Mimosa Fabric, from Windham Fabrics

I gave in to temptation and ordered some new fabric.  I saw this fabric online and just loved the retro look in updated colors.  The line is called Mimosa, from Windham Fabrics.

I ordered fat quarter sets in "blueberry" and "apple."  Both came with some grey prints as well.  The line also comes in grapefruit (yellow to orange) and pomegranate (red).  I plan to use it to make one of the projects on my Pinterest board.  I'm leaning towards Flowering Snowball but haven't decided for sure.

  1. When I was growing up in Delaware, we had a mimosa tree in our front yard. These fabrics bring fond memories.

  2. Oh Cathy, I bought that collection too and can't wait to make something amazing with it. I love your idea to do Flowering Snowball! I am really enjoying making my blocks with the templates. There is a new book coming out called Vintage Vibe that intrigues me. Traditional patterns with more modern colors. I know there will be a pattern in it that would be great with Mimosa.

  4. I've been so so tempted by this new line as well. You bought the two colors I most like. Can't wait to see what you end up making.

  5. I'd love to see this new line in person - it seems to look fabulous and I've been wanting to find the "right" fabric for a flowering snowball as well. You've got a great idea there. Thanks for sharing
